I have a Charcoal Pre-Filter Wrap on my 2 Defenders. One in the basement and one at the top of the basement stairs. My house is old and the basement is musty, and these do the job to cleanse the air so that bad odors are greatly reduced. I feel safer breathing the air in the house now, too. The Defender I use upstairs is also fantastic at catching pet dander, hair and dust, all of which are very visible on the wrap when I change it.
